Anyone have one that's both simple and detailed? |

I am listening to the 1812 Overture, and it had just reached the part where the cannons start going off when the Friday night fireworks began at the ball park. |

Every March, I mutter about how TS Eliot got it all wrong. March is crueler than April, I kvetch, crueler by far.
And then this happens in April: ( ... ) Just as I was about to put away my winter clothes. |

I mean really explain, not just define a term by tossing out lots of other stats terms that in turn are defined by more stats terms, ad infinitum?
If so, and if you're so inclined, feel free to share with me (and anyone else reading) what the f*** true variance is caused by, if not by differences between participants' abilities.
Thank you. |
AP White House Correspondent Jennifer Loven:PRAGUE – Declaring the future of mankind at stake, President Barack Obama on Sunday said all nations must strive to rid the world of nuclear arms and that the U.S. had a "moral responsibility" to lead because no other country has used one. A moral responsibility. Yes. |

Or, as my dear brother-in-all-but-name David's partner Satoru, who lives and teaches there, tends to call it: I-OH-wa.
Iowa or I-OH-wa, its Supreme Court has my admiration today, as do all the folks who worked to make this wonderful decision possible in the heartland. |

Okay, okay, I'm behaving like Freddy Mercury here. But is that so bad?
From an LA Times review:
The best subcompact on the market is slightly larger, vastly stiffer, noticeably more quiet and comfortable, and every bit as dorky-looking as the previous edition. But what a view from the cockpit. ( ... ) "Lightly perfect" is going a bit far, but it is a damn good car.

I have the VIN. Next step: Getting the insurance set up.
I feel so... American.

In about 5 minutes.
And then to campus, to drop off copies.
Whew. Ready or not, good enough or not, typos or not, this draft is out of my hands.

Does MLA require, and have in-text and works cited formats for using one's own notes? (Like quoting one's journal, basically.)
How in dog's name does one cite an in-press publication in MLA? APA is all over it. MLA? Not that I can find. Can you?
Assume you are quoting a passage that is part of two paragraphs (the end of one and the start of the next) but that isn't long enough to require a block quote. Do you break it out into a block quote anyway so you can include the paragraph break?

I'll be in SF for a conference in a couple of weeks, arriving on the evening of Wednesday, March 11 and leaving on the morning of Sunday, March 15.
I'm coming and going by air (!), partly because I don't trust my car to get me there and back, and partly because K2 had a coupon on southwest he wasn't going to use. In the city, I'll be staying at the Hosteling International downtown hostel.
The conference will take up some large chunks of time, but if anyone in that area wants to meet up, I'm sure we could figure out at least a coffee date.

I think we both need this book.

The Onion now has TV-style news. Total time suck.
And if you like rock/blues/swing music and Onion-style ads, check out KPIG radio, broadcasting from Freedom CA but also streaming online. |
